You can only harvest what you sow! Succession planting allows you to keep sowing & keep harvesting!

You can only Harvest what you Sow! 🌞
Succession Planting is when you harvest one crop, then sow more seeds to start the next crop.
As long as the temperatures cooperate, you can keep harvesting & sowing all Season!
You can succession sow the same crop & variety, or mix it up & plant something different!
These are some things YOU can Succession Plant:
1) Root Veggies!
After you harvest your radishes, beets, carrots, there is Space in your garden to Sow more Seeds!
Bonus: Get more from your Garden Space, & keep weeds from moving into "empty" space.
TIP: Beets & Radishes are both completely 100% edible, the root & the greens! 💚
2) Lettuces!
After your lettuces have given all they can, or the leaves start tasting bitter, pull & sow more!
Bonus: If you let lettuce "bolt", (go to flower), the Birds love it & it may Self-Seed itself!
TIP: Lettuces like cooler temps, so you may have to wait until the hottest summer days have past. 💚
3) Peas & Pea Pods!
After your peas & pea pods have given all they can, or not flowering as much, pull, & sow more!
Like Lettuces, the plant likes cooler temps, but can be sown up to 8 weeks before 1st chance of frost.
Bonus: Even if you don't get another harvest, these legumes make a great cover crop, enriching soil & fixing nitrogen that will enhance next year's harvest!
TIP: They can handle cooler conditions, so the plants can take the temps into late Autumn! 💚.

Happy Harvesting & Enjoy! 💚 Â
